The SCATS Teams were on fire through February and aren’t showing any signs of fatigue kicking off the month of March. The boys levels 4 through 7 teams brought their best to the Central Conference Championship competition, taking home the 1st and second place team trophies for level 6 and 7, respectively. Across all four levels, our boys took home 46 individual medals including gold medal AA winners Drew Kessel, Caden Wood, Tommy Strachan and Misha Romo, as well as silver and bronze all-around achievers, Jared Walker and Jimmy Kurcz.
The guys continued their stride up in LA for the Peter Vidmar Invitational, where our boys placed on the podium a total 31 times, including two gold all-around finishes by Misha Romo and Ami Solow in their level 7 and 6 divisions. Caden was only 6 tenths behind Ami in the AA, claiming silver, while Tommy also took 2nd in his own division and Jared the bronze in his. Incredible work, gentleman!
Our girls set a high bar at the end of February when they brought home 17 individual medals at the LA Convention Center for All Olympia’s invitational meet. That included 5 all around accolades across levels 7 through 10 in Milan Blanco (AA gold), Brynn Bayoneta (AA silver), Emily White, Isabella Abrahams, and Jillian Smith (AA bronze x3).
Above all, everyone on the SCATS Teams put forth an amazing effort that made all of us proud and looking forward to their respective State Championship meets later in March. Keep it up guys and girls, and good luck!
